More than just carnival

 

In winter, Basel is renowned for their Carnival. When we recently visited in summer we found the atmosphere to be totally relaxed. One of the best views of the old town and the Muenster of Basel is from the Wettstein bridge. From here, you can walk up and visit the muenster and continue through a peaceful quarter in the Old Town to reach the Red Town Hall. Don't miss the courtyard!
