An easy walk in Grächen is to the Hohtschuggen restaurant where you will be rewarded with a fabulously exhilarating view of the Bietschhorn and the almost vertical drop deep into the valley below. A bit more strenuous hike takes you to the Wannihorn. Along the way and at the top you can enjoy the panoramas of beautiful mountains such as the Bishorn and the stunning Weisshorn. For us it even gave us a feeling similar to trekking in the Himalayas! We’ll never forget the moment, when we were climbing the Weissmies, finding ourselves on the ridge in the midst of thick clouds that suddenly dispersed and we had the thrill of seeing the 1000m vertical drop to each of our sides…
