Pragelpass - Muotathal

Schwyz

Pretty rough

The Pragelpass (1550m) connects the canton Schwyz to the canton of Glarus. The drive through the Muotathal area is spectacular in itself. But at the top of the pass, a new world of the Mount Silberen opens up. The summit consists of a large karstic plateau and underneath is one of the largest cave systems in the world called Hölloch (Devil's hole). Climbing Mt. Silberen offers great views of the beautiful Mount Tödi, Vrenelisgärtli and the Glarner Alps. And you will also have a glimpse of the wonderful Lake Klöntal on your way back.
