Stein am Rhein is an idyllic old town that lies along the waterfront at the point where Lake Constance again becomes the Rhine river. It’s famous for its well-preserved Old Town, featuring painted facades and half-timbered houses. The area is extremely popular in summer. To get a feel of the original charm we recommend getting there early in the morning.
